Software Developer/Programmer

Terms of Employment:
Fixed contract with aim of being permanent.

Education:
Recognised college or university degree in computer science or a related discipline.

Experience:
Experience an asset.

Languages:
Speak English, Read English, Write English.

Specific Skills for role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and creating software for both internal and external clients. Assist in estimation, proposal creation, requirements gathering, programming, testing and documentation while delivering software solutions. Identify and communicate technical problems, processes and solutions. A natural self-starter, highly motivated with excellent technical and analytical skills. Be able to translate business requirements and functional specifications into technical specifications. Strong database design skills, DTD’s, normalization, ERD’s. Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database management systems (Oracle, Sybase and SQL Server). Proven ability in designing software applications using object-oriented methodologies. Comfortable designing multithreaded applications in .NET. Experienced in technical documentation skills – requirements elicitation, functional and non-functional documentation. Experienced in C#/.NET, SQL Server, Silverlight 3.0, Windows Internet Information Services with use of other scripting and languages advantageous.

Transportation/Travel Information:
Own transportation, willing to travel, valid drivers license, work related travel expenses paid by employer.
